Little People

I've been recently thinking about the reason why all these planets are placed so far away from each other, and the fact that we are too far away from our potential "alien" neighbors and we have been unable to reach out to them.
Maybe we've always tried to reach them through space, always looking for ways to travel the only way we thought possible for getting there in the fastest way possible, by making faster and faster ships. Maybe we never even needed ships. Maybe they're not even out "there", they're some"where" else. Maybe we've always looked in the wrong places. Maybe we've always had to look somewhere else, some other "dimension" we never knew even existed.
